About Ian

Ian Auzenne is a longtime broadcaster originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. He currently a news anchor and reporter for WWL-AM/FM in New Orleans and a sports play-by-play announcer for Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Sports Properties.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Ian has been in and around the broadcast business since he was in elementary school. He began dabbling in TV at the Acadiana Open Channel before jumping into radio at WPRB-FM while attending Princeton University. His professional radio career began in 2010 at Townsquare Media in Lafayette. He started there as a board operator for New Orleans Saints games before taking on a weekend DJ role on country station KMDL (97.3 the Dawg). He later hosted his own sports show and called high school football games on KPEL-AM (ESPN Lafayette), co-hosted the morning news/talk show on KPEL-FM, and became one of the voices of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns athletics broadcasts.

In addition to his radio work, Ian has a decade of experience in television news, serving as a producer and reporter at KLFY-TV and as an assignments editor and as executive producer at KATC-TV.

Outside of broadcasting, Ian is a high school volleyball and softball official. He's a lifelong Saints fan who lost on "Sports Jeopardy!" in 2016.

He and his fiancée Dawn live in New Orleans.
